Day 63 Conrad, MT to Cut Bank, MT 45.1 miles Total 3,079.6 mi

The Home Cafe provided a hearty breakfast.  The wind today was heavy, and the skies were clear.

Steve rode straight into the wind the entire day.  We met in Shelby, MT which was the grand-daddy of all truck stops with several trains thrown in for good measure.  No restaurant, but lots of quick stop options like foil-wrapped burgers and ham and cheese sandwiches.  Steve asked if there was any place to sit down and the cashier said to go ahead upstairs to the professional truckers lounge.  It was pretty cool, with showers, laundry facilities, easy chairs.  We had a good sit-down and soon he was back on the road.

I proceeded to our destination of Cut Bank.  This town is frequently the coldest location in the lower 48 U.S. states.

Shortly before I was expecting him, I got a call from Steve requesting that I pick him up.  His rear tire had gone flat just two miles out of town.  After a fix and a shower and a family zoom, we headed out to find dinner.  The only thing open was McDonald's and Pizza Hut.  Pizza Hut was out of lettuce, but the pizza was still good!
