Day 45 Fergus Falls, MN to Fargo, ND 58.8 miles Total 2,169.1 mi

We have been so excited to finally get to Fargo! Weather forecasts were for temperatures in the high nineties, so we found The Viking Cafe that opened at 5:30 for breakfast and Steve started right out.

The ride went very quickly.  I left later and stopped when I caught up with Steve.  He was making such good time and did not need to stop, so we went right along to Fargo.  It is a much bigger city than we had expected somehow, and our hotel was on the far western side.  I arrived well before noon, so had no hope of checking into the hotel.  I checked in over the phone with UU Arts and Crafts Zoom and got a chance to catch up with Claire and Nina.  I also booked a haircut for myself and looked up a barbershop for Steve.

He came gliding into the hotel parking before noon.  He had ridden almost 60 miles, had done his fastest time and averaged about 16 mph.

We found a great restaurant for lunch...Sickies Garage!

Steve enjoyed the Jalapeno Peanut Butter Burger, thinking of his Dad, who loved peanut butter!

Menu options...I was wishing it was the weekend, I could have had a Bloody Mary for lunch!

We both managed to get haircuts that we love.  My stylist was a young lady originally from Nepal.  His was fresh out of barber school and very excited about her profession.

The manager at Sickies told us that the best place for some excitement and live music tonight was out back of the restaurant for Bikers' Night.  So, of course, once Steve heard the words "live music" that became the plan.  The band was full of noisy enthusiasm.  We stayed for one drink and decided that was enough for the day.
